Maths
Today room 7 students had maths with Miss Stone. In maths today we talked about different types of shapes and the angles, corners, sides.
Today for our maths lesson I learnt a lot about carries cubes and how many faces were painted, it a little bit confusing but when I had a few ideas about it I started to work it out. Miss stone and Mrs Tofa had helped us with the cubes.

Carries Cubes
Walt: identify classes of two- and three-dimensional shapes by their geometric properties.
Carrie has glued some cubes together to make a large solid cube with nine small cubes showing on a face.
She paints the large cube red.
How many of the original small cubes have:
- three faces painted red?
- two faces painted red? 8 cubes
- one face painted red? 12 cubes
- no faces painted red? 1 cube
Here are some photo's of the groups who were working very hard to figure out these questions.
Early Child centre
Today room 7 students went to the early child centre, We had to take a baby book that will be interesting for all the children who would like to read the book.
I had a little child with me but she didn't really talk much so I talked more about the DANGEROUS, but it was all about the crocodile and the mole. It was really much along book and I knew that she was getting bored of me reading to her so I asked her if she wanted to go play with the blocks.
I really had fun with the little children and I hope in the future that they grow up to remember us as their role model.

Special Operation Executive (SOE)
Special Operations Executive (SOE)
This week weka group is reading a book called The White Mouse… Our book we are reading is about Special Operations Executive (SOE).
Nancy had parachuted out of a plane above the central France. She had quickly started to work with the Local Resistance. Nancy used secret codes and radios to communicate to arrange weapons, explosives to blow up trains and railways.
The special operations executive was a top secret organisation set up by the British. The (SOE) parachuted into countries such as France.
Thousand of German troops were hunting the resistance. All Nancy codes and radios were destroyed so she had a problem. She went to visit another village many kilometres away.
This part of the story was telling us that so many German troops were so desperate to find this lady, Also it was about what happened in world war ll.
