The emperor of peka peka beach

In the beginning of the story a penguin was washed up on to Peka Peka beach. He was found by the animal vet who had taken him to an animal hospital. They had found 3 kilograms of sand and sticks inside the penguins stomach.

I'm feeling happy because happy feet recovered from swallowing 3 kilograms of sand and sticks. When I started to read this book I thought that the penguin might not survive but after 2 months of his recover he was fine and they sent him back.

Kiwi Can

Today in Kiwi can I learnt about resilience and goal setting. Mr Afutoto talked to us about resilience and about goal setting. Mr Afutoto talked about our future. For our warm up game we played Limbo, For limbo some one from the group had to hold the limbo stick.

After the limbo we got a piece of paper from Mr Afutoto and a pen to just one goal for our future. We planned our goals. He also talked about how much lawyers and business people get from there pay. If we just spend 10 minutes talking to lawyers.

Finally we played GKQ, I learnt about what i'm going to do for my future and how to get there. It probably would take time to get where you want to be.

Volleyball

This morning room 7 students had Volleyball lessons with coach Antonia. She asked us a few question about what is the first most important in volleyball we said serve but it was all of the positions. For our warm up game we had to get a partner, My partner was Amelia.

I and my partner had to do a dig and set,We did that for 5 minutes. Then we lined up on the white line with our partner on the other side of the net. We just had to serve the ball to our partner and they catch it.

After that we were numbered from 1 to 6. This game we played was volleyball,The first group to verse was group 1 and 2 on the other side of them, group 3 and 4 versed then at the last net, group 5 and 6 versed. We swapped over to different groups to verse them. Our lesson was better than last week. I learnt a lot of new skills.

This mornings learning

This morning for reading we are reading a book called The Haunting by Margaret Mahy. In this book there is a boy called Barney and he thinks that seeing ghost is normal for him, It all started when he was young and he knew that he was being haunted again. Today we are reading the second chapter for the book. We answered some review question from the site and we had to answer it and make it into a review.

The book review about The Haunting by Margaret Mahy

Today Weka group read a book called the haunting by Margaret Mahy and it's all about how the boy Barney see's ghost and hears ghost.

Book Review of (Insert Title here) by (author). The book review of the Haunting by Margaret Mahy. This book  is about a boy name Barney and he thinks that seeing ghost is normal for him. He started seeing ghost when he was a young boy and he thought that seeing ghost is like when you fall off a bike or fall on the ground and cry. My favourite part of The Haunting book was  when the boy Barney thought he was getting close to death. I like this book because it is scary and has a lot of details about the boy and what is happening in the book.  I think someone that is interested and loves to read scary horror books, I think I would tell people that are really wanting to read this story.

Book review by: By Dallas

I rated this book 5 out of 5 because when I started reading through the first chapter it was interesting and then when I got to the middle of the chapter it was explaining what is happening to the boy.
